Donegal Patient Information Event
Thank you to all the Donegal community who came out in great numbers to attend our recent Patient Information evening in the Clanree Hotel in Letterkenny, Co Donegal. Over 120 people, some who travelled long distances, joined us on the night to hear Dr. Paul Grant’s talk and presentation on haemochromatosis.

We’re thrilled to announce that the Irish Haemochromatosis Association has been nominated and shortlisted for TWO Irish Healthcare Awards for a Patient Education Project and Public Health Initiative Award.
Tony McDevitt 50th Blood Donation!
Congratulations to Tony McDevittt, long-standing friend and volunteer with the Irish Haemochromatosis Association! Tony is proud to have made his 50th blood donation to the Irish Blood Transfusion Service and has donated much-needed blood donations over several years.
Tribute to Mary O’Rourke, Former President of the IHA, RIP
We were deeply saddened to hear that our former President of the Irish Haemochromatosis Association, Mary O’Rourke passed away. Sincere condolences to her family, her wide circle of friends and to all who knew Mary as a well-known politician, who devoted decades of her life to Irish politics.
