AGM 24th May 2025: Guest Speaker, Professor Frank Murray
Our AGM takes place this year on Saturday 24th May 2025. There will be an option to attend in-person at the IBTS building in St. James’s Hospital, James Street, Dublin or online via webinar. Teas and coffees will be available from 10.30am and the business of the AGM will start at 11am.

Managing Chronic Fatigue, Online Event with Dr. Michelle Murphy
Join us and Dr. Michelle Murphy, a Psychotherapist and lecturer in health and social care specialist and therapist. Her research has contributed to developing community and mental health services. Michelle offers practical, evidence-based brain health tips for everyday life.

New GP Practice Nurse Venesection Training & Education Programme
New GP venesection nurse training and education progamme for GP Practice Nurses in Ireland. As part of our funding from the Hospital Saturday Fund, we partnered with the Education and Training Programme team in Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon and Donegal to develop a competency-based curriculum to manage venesection treatment for patients.

Men’s Health Week 2025
The Irish Haemochromatosis Association is now a member of the Men’s Health Forum and part of the Planning Committee for Men’s Health Week 9-15th June. Our aim is to encourage and promote positive men’s health on the island of Ireland. The theme this year is ‘shoulder-to-shoulder’ to show that men of all ages are unified, strong, resolute, supportive and connected.

Launch of HUK Report in Stormont: ‘Economic impactof Screening for HH in NI’
Haemochromatosis UK launched their latest report at the NI Assembly in Stormont, Belfast, which evaluates the economic costs and benefits of screening for genetic haemochromatosis in Northern
Ireland.
