Volunteer - Get Involved!
Our association was built on the commitment, dedication and work of our volunteers, members and voluntary board members. If you would like to get involved in our work in any way or if you would like to help with our online and social media or communications in general, we would be delighted to hear from you.
From time to time, we look for volunteers to help with our Helpline, via phone and email. You can email Miriam at [email protected] for more information. We offer training and induction and provide a volunteer agreement and charter and copies of our charity’s policies to volunteers.
Through our helpline work, we provide information and support for haemochromatosis sufferers and their families. We also work with the medical sector to promote early diagnosis and advocate for treatment and support for patients. We educate and inform through our communications and print materials and guides, through our social media pages and online platforms and work with patient groups in Ireland and internationally to represent haemochromatosis patients’ needs.
There are many other ways in which you can be an active volunteer, including helping us with information stands at conferences and seminars and organising awareness or fundraising events in your own community.
