The Irish Haemochromatosis Association (IHA) is seeking to recruit a voluntary Treasurer to its voluntary Board of Directors to continue leading on the work of the IHA in line with our strategic objectives.
The Treasurer will oversee all financial transactions and primary duties will include financial reporting, record-keeping, managing incoming and outgoing funds and working with the Executive Director and board on budgeting and planning. The Treasurer is also responsible for reconciling bank statements, managing cash flow and may also help with fundraising efforts in conjunction with the Executive Director and board and in line with the Governance Code aligning with governance policies and procedures.
We are looking for a Treasurer with an interest or a personal connection to haemochromatosis and who is interested in raising more awareness of Ireland’s most common genetic disorder. We are seeking individuals with skills and experience in:
- Financial reporting
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Auditing/Tax
- Fund-raising and/or
- A qualification in accountancy
