Sligo Information Evening

Come along to our next patient information event in Sligo on Wednesday 8th May at 7.30pm in the Glasshouse Hotel, Sligo. All are welcome to attend this free in-person event. Dr Kevin Walsh, Consultatnt Gastroenterologist, Sligo Hospital will give a presentation and talk on haemochromatosis, which will be followed by a Q & A session. We will allow time for questions on the night and hope that everyone will have their questions answered. We look forward to seeing you all there. We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Damian Boylan, friend, advocate and member of the Irish Haemochromatosis Association, who has just been elected as the new Lord Mayor of Cork! Damian has been an amazing public representative for several years and has made it his mission to raise awareness of haemochromatosis, having been diagnosed himself 23 years ago.

This is the most important time of the year, when we urge everyone in Ireland to recognise the symptoms of the nation’s ‘Hidden Condition’, often called the ‘Celtic Gene’.
