Our Cork Patient Information event ‘Understanding Haemochromatosis’ with Professor Diarmaid Houlihan, took place on Tuesday 28th November 2023 at the Clayton Hotel Cork City. Professor Houlihan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist working in the Bon Secours in Cork.
We welcomed patients, their families and those who wanted to find out more about haemochromatosis. Thank you to everyone who attended on the night and participated in a very engaging and informative Question & Answer session with Diarmaid, our voluntary Board Member, Frank McHugh and long-time campaigner and advocate for haemochromatosis, Cllr Damian Boylan who also spoke about his own haemochromatosis journey.

Our Members’ AGM takes place on Saturday 13th April 2024, with Guest Speakers Professor Geraldine McCarthy, Consultant Rheumatologist, Mater Hospital Dublin and Clinical Nurse Specialist, Fiona Colclough, Beaumont Hospital Dublin. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the day!
