We were delighted to join other European Haemochromatosis representative patient organisations in Innsbruck, Austria at the end of 2025. Medical experts and speakers in the research and treatment of Haemochromatosis attended the European Iron Club Conference and EFAPH AGM.
Sincere thanks to Dr Mayka Sanchez, Barcelona and Dr Barbara Butzeck, Germany and new President of EFAPH, Andrés Vadillo, Spain who has done tremendous work in advocating for patients throughout Spain and promoting blood donation from haemochromatosis patients. Congratulations also is due to newly elected Vice-President of EFAPH, Miriam Forde and to all our other European representatives for their dedication and commitment in keeping Haemochromatosis patients at the centre of our work.
Well done also to Dr Heinz Zoller at the University of Innsbruck for organising the event, and Wolfgang who assisted with our presentations on the day. The next EIC Conference will take place in Trinity College, Dublin from the 18th to the 20th June 2026. A full programme will be available shortly. There will also be events for patients to attend for free on Saturday, 20th June (1.15pm – Lunch with Expert Speakers and EFAPH AGM from 4pm).
